The five-year-old cat called Ziggy went missing from the Langney Roundabout area after he failed to return to his home on St Anthony’s Avenue on the morning of December 7.

Ziggy is a well-known cat due to always hanging around at the roundabout to see people including the local school children.

Danielle Atkinson, Ziggy’s owner, said, “He gets all the attention, he loves it. He loves people and he’s always on the school run to see the kids. This time it looks like someone might have taken him though.”

Danielle said that someone was seen putting a cat into a cat basket on Sunday (December 6) between 2.15-2.30pm in the roundabout area.

Normally Ziggy comes back first thing in the morning for food, but when he didn’t return yesterday (December 7) and didn’t come when called at the roundabout Danielle said, “Alarm bells started to ring.”

She said Ziggy is a very friendly cat and has three legs due to a road accident he had when he was younger.

Danielle said how missed he is by the whole family.

She said, “The kids don’t want any presents for Christmas, they just want Ziggy back.”

Anyone who sees Ziggy can call Danielle on 07856989494.
