County Times Youth Awards to take place tonight

Roll out the red carpet - the first ever West Sussex County Times Youth Awards takes place at the Capitol in Horsham tonight.

For months, our readers have sent in a huge amount of nominations, and now the finalists are to discover who will take home each of the 16 awards.

Youngsters’ achievements, efforts and attitudes are to be celebrated across four categories - sports, arts, community and achievement.

County Times reporters Simon Robb, Harley Tamplin, Joshua Powling and Jasmin Martin are to present the evening’s festivities.

Jasmin also makes up the Youth Awards’ judging panel, alongside Suzanne Travers of Places for People Leisue, Maria Stack of the Ark, Katie Bennett of the Y Centre in Horsham and Nick Mowat, general manager of the Capitol.

With a number of entertaining performances also in the wings, the evening is set to be a memorable one for all in attendance.
