Pensioner hurt in hit-and-run incident
AN elderly lady was knocked off her bike and left lying in the road after a hit-and-run.
The woman, believed to be in her 70s, was cycling along Durrington Lane, Worthing, when she was hit by a Peugeot 306.
The car did not stop.
The woman was taken to Worthing Hospital where she was treated for her injuries. Police said on Monday afternoon she was in a 'stable' condition and her injuries were not life threatening.
The incident happened at around 10.15am on Saturday morning.
Police have made an arrest and said investigations were on-going.
Officers are appealing for witnesses.
