Whilst the two vehicles were waiting, a third vehicle, a silver Honda driven by a 71-year-old Flimwell woman, failed to stop and collided with the back of the Rover, which in turn shunted into the Astra.

A 70-year-old Hawkhurst woman, who was a passenger in the Rover, was taken to the Conquest Hospital in Hastings with a minor injury.
