I WOULD like to thank everyone who supported the sale on Saturday, May 28, at Sylvan Way, in memory of Derren Barber, to raise funds for the Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue.
We achieved a grand total of £500, which was tremendous.
Special thanks to the Observer and Neill Barston for a superb write-up, also we were so grateful to the Guardian for placing a box advertising the event.
It was particularly nice to see so many people who remember Derren and the fact they all went away with their special treasures to keep. We hope to do a small sale in the summer once again for Ogwen.
