Take that poo home

I JUST thought I'd drop you a line to mention what seems to be an increase in inconsiderate dog owners.

I run a local mountainbike club and as such we use a lot of the trails and bridleways leaving the north of Worthing and Findon on a regular basis.

Whether it's because of the lighter evenings and people getting out more I don't know, but in the last few weeks there has been a marked increase in dog fouling on bridleways.

The paths from High Salvington near the radio masts and also in the fields to the west of Cissbury Ring are particularly bad.

No one likes to have to clean dog mess off their bikes or, worse, clothes.

I'm trying to encourage new people out cycling on the Downs. How nice it must be for them to get back from their first rides and have to clean dog mess off their bikes.

Very encouraging! Please, please, please, if you have a dog, pick up the mess and take it home.
