SNOW: There was fair warning

What a shambles.

Procedure for dealing with ice on pavements and roads:

With fair warning '“ grit the roads and pavements, before it freezes or snows.

Fresh snow is then no problem.

When the melt starts, the grit (previously laid down) comes through and provides a key to prevent chaos.

Main roads etc. first, but people in other areas are entitled to treatment as well, not ignored!

I saw two men with a shopping trolley at Wallace Avenue with half a bag of grit '“ maybe council but no badges?

I suggest we hold a proportion of rates appertaining to the service paid for and not provided.
