We will try again in August

May I via your letters page say how very disappointed the Winkle Club was in having to abandon our Pop-up Pirate Fete last Sunday (Pirate Day).

Our supporters had worked so hard but it was just impossible to continue as the rain got heavier and the wind stronger. But all is not lost! We intend to try again on Sunday, August 9, on Winkle Island from 10am.

This will be the last day of Old Town Carnival Week so we hope that people will still come and support us.

We will have lots of stalls and sideshows with all money raised going towards Winkle Club local good causes.

Surely the Gods will be kind to us this time?
