A COUPLE of weeks ago, Paul Sanderson, the chaplain of The Littlehampton Academy (TLA) organised a three-day summer soccer school at White Meadows Primary School for boys and girls aged six to 11.
He was ably assisted by several students from TLA, who worked hard to help the youngsters from all different primary schools. My seven-year-old grand-daughter Madeline was one of the children being tutored.
The highlight of the event was the “Mini World Cup” on the final day, which ended with the presentation of medals and trophies. It all took place in a lovely atmosphere and was enjoyed by everyone, including parents, grandparents and friends.
I would like to say thank you to Paul and all the students who gave up part of their summer holiday. It was much appreciated.
