Thank you, society
I WOULD like to congratulate and thank John Hodson, his committee and the members of of the Herbrand Walk Beach Preservation Society for their stalwart and persistent efforts in opposing the appeal by Mr Hall against the denial of planning permission for his Herbrand Walk Beach developement proposal.
The strength of feeling felt by the society’s 600 Members together with the support of the Rother planning officials and the local councillors won the day, when the appeal was dismissed by the inspector.
Let us hope that the application to turn the beach into a “village green” with its attendant safeguards and advantages to keep the beach in its present pristine condition will be approved by East Sussex County Council in the near future
