Sad to hear of head’s passing

IT was with some sadness that I read of Leslie Baker’s passing (Gazette, October 28). I was at the William Older School when he was headmaster there.

I am still in contact, via e-mail, with an old schoolfriend, Pat (Bridger),who now lives in Italy, and we were both wondering how many of our old classmates are still in the area. I shall, hopefully, be attending the celebration on December 5 and I have invited Pat to stay with us if she’d also like to attend.

Perhaps a few more ex-pupils will be there – it would be interesting to catch up with some of them again.
