Roll on the summer...

NOW that the works to the seafront by the De La Warr Pavilion and along West Parade are finished, we would like to put on record that we think Rother District Council has done a fantastic job.

The sweeping views from the DLWP are beautiful, and walking along the promenade there is something to be enjoyed by everyone, which indeed is evidenced by the number of people doing just that. Roll on the summer when the fountains are on!

In our opinion - for what it is worth - the landscaping works to the seafront have successfully brought Bexhill “up market”, which can only be to the benefit of all.

Hopefully, now that the work is complete, people will take a breath, look properly and appreciate what has been achieved, and the negative opinions that have been a feature of your letters page for the past 12 months will cease.
