Parking pains

I AM not amused at the number of people I see who think that they are in need of parking near to the shops in a disabled space and get out of their cars without the need of a stick or walking aid and walk very quickly with no visible discomfort.

Most of these cars do display a blue badge but either the blue badge is not needed any more or perhaps the blue badge entitlement belongs to someone else.

The provision of a space is for people who have more troublesome problems than an able-bodied person and that is why these spaces are very kindly provided for the most vulnerable in our society.

The shame is that these people do not take the disabled into account. The spaces are supposed to be for disabled people and not for anyone who happens to have a blue badge in their vehicle.
