In spite of letters, meetings, a referendum, the overall wishes of the villagers and excellent work by the Save Angmering Village campaign, the planned building programme of Arun District Council gathers pace.

Whatever happened to the ‘Garden Village’ we were promised off Roundstone Lane?

The new properties could hardly have been built any closer to the road and the access is a masterpiece of modern planning, reflecting the careless attitude of our council.

One is left to wonder what other surprises we will have when the future Roundstone Lane sites are developed and the lane has to be upgraded?

I, for one, will look forward to the next council elections.
