Blue badge did not stop tow threat

MY 86-year-old wife is disabled, in so far as she is unable to walk unaided.

Last week, she had to go to Specsavers in Rustington, to collect a new pair of reading glasses, so I parked outside in service road, on a single yellow line, with the hazard lights flashing, leaving plenty of space for other traffic to pass.

Displayed in the window were a blue badge together, and a parking time disc within the three hour limit.

An assistant asked me if it was my car, upon saying yes, he informed me that a customer had just come to tell him that he had heard somebody on the phone, who we do not know, organising a tow-away!

I would like to record our thanks to the customer.

I would also like the telephonist to obtain a copy of blue badge guide, read it and then reply to this letter via the Gazette, Upset OAP reader.
