Bend has a history of hits and misses

FOLLOWING the report (Gazette, April 28) about the latest accident at Lyminster, I’m writing to say this isn’t anything new.

We have lived in Sussex for nearly 40 years. We used to live on the bend where the accidents happen. For the first 17 years the flint wall was the first to go when cars collided with it.

We had many hits and misses at least once a month, and deaths.

It wasn’t much fun getting the car out as it was always dangerous on the bend.
