Deep freeze hits councillors - and quite right too

In a time where cutbacks are on the agenda, and budget freezes are reflected rather ironically in the weather lately, the importance of elected figures leading from the front on this issue is paramount.

Everybody almost without exception is having to tighten their belts at the moment - and no-one likes a hypocrite.
