The Bodiam Pre-school Playgroup Christmas Hamper Draw was a great success and made £82. This will be put toward more resources for the children joining for the new term.

I attended the Service of Thanksgiving for the life of Tony Landels was conducted by the Reverend Bill Haymaker at Hastings Crematorium.

I had a talk with Tony’s wife and she said she would let me know how much was raised in donations in memory of Tony which will go to the British Diabetic Association care of the funeral director A C Towner of Battle.

The next service at St Giles is a family service on February 2 which will include refreshments.

We have had a lot of rain in the village but cannot do much about it.
