Chip off the old block
ONE of your Bognor Observer letter-writers mentioned windscreen damage caused by loose chippings and requested people to write in who have had similar problems.
Exactly the same thing happened to me: the council’s policy of not rolling the chippings into the road surface causes, in my view, an unacceptable risk to cyclists and also considerable damage to car undersides, headlights, tyres and wind screens.
I can only assume it is another cost-cutting exercise.
