Open gardens for Homecall

All those who appreciate a beautiful garden have a treat coming their way - the gardens of 25 Pear Tree Lane and The Clinches, Collington Lane East (opposite no 70) will be open to the public on Friday June 12 from 2-5pm.

The event is to raise money for Homecall, the local charity which provides volunteer help for the blind and partially sighted.

Homecall's Jenny Private said: "As the season for Open Gardens continues, Homecall has been chosen to benefit from these two lovely gardens and both gardens can be visited for one admission of 3.50.

"The Pear Tree Lane garden is a new garden for 2009, most unusual and very well worth a visit, The Clinches is a very attractive garden never to be missed.

"Please take this opportunity to enjoy your afternoon and at the same time support Homecall, a local charity that supports Blind and Partially Sighted people living in our town. In addition to the gardens there will be plants avaiIable to buy at very reasonable prices and various stalls to browse. Refreshments of tea and cake will also be available."
