Motorcyclist’s family speak of loss

The family of a biker who died after a crash at Climping has paid tribute to an ‘amazing person’.

Motorcyclist Robert ‘Jacko’ Giacopazzi died after his Yamaha bike was in collision with a red Vauxhall Corsa on Sunday, August 25,

His loved ones issued a tribute today (Tuesday, September 3) to the 48-year-old, which reads: “Jacko was a loving husband, son, brother, father and friend.

“He was an amazing person who everybody loved and who loved life and loved sharing his life with his family and friends.

“A special person who will leave a huge hole not only in our hearts but in the whole of Bognor and beyond.”

The driver of the Corsa, a 53-year-old woman from Bognor Regis, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving. She was bailed until October 26.

The collision happened a few minutes before 2pm in Crookthorn Lane, at the junction with Yapton Road. Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call Sussex Police on 101 quoting Op Monroe or e-mail [email protected].
