NINE more people have been banned from the roads after being caught drink-driving as part of Sussex Police’s December crackdown.

More than 50 drivers have so far been convicted of driving offences as part of the crack-down.

Chief Inspector Natalie Moloney said: “We have seen from the campaign that there is not one type of person who drinks and then drives. The people convicted have been of all ages and backgrounds.

She went on to say: “Officers are out on patrol every day looking for more people like them who refuse to obey the law and put themselves and other people at risk.”
