Meeting for Sidley residents

A meeting will be held next week to find out what Sidley residents want and need.

This will happen on Tuesday at 6.30pm at Sidley House and the intention is to move on from where Sidley Community Association left off.

Stephen White commented: "Over the past few years Sidley Community Association has gone through a difficult period.

"We have been unable to secure funding for the services we have provided for the community over the last decade despite the superhuman efforts of our former chairman and our chief executive.

"Fortunately East Sussex County Council has taken on the majority of our services run from the centre at Sidley House.

"This leaves us free to resume our community activities...We are a small but enthusiastic group who want to rebuild our community activities. To do this we need to know what the residents of Sidley want and need.

"We are completely open to ideas new and old; we need help from new committee members and association members to formulate plans and to make them work."

The aim of the first meeting is to organise the Christmas lunch, and also to meet as many interested residents as possible - everyone is invited to come along."
