Man charged with attempted murder in Crawley

A man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder following a report of a shooting in Broadfield, Crawley, last month.

Daniel Harris, 39, of no fixed address, is due to appear before Crawley Magistrates’ Court on Friday, August 12, accused of shooting a 35-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman in Jersey Road, possession of a shotgun, and criminal damage to a fence on July 23.

Police said the victims were in a car when a man approached them at 8.50am. The 35-year-old man got out of the vehicle and the suspect fired a gun. They drove off. The woman suffered a burst eardrum but the man was uninjured, according to police.
