Littlehampton man attacked after chasing off teens

A YOUNG man was attacked by a large group of youths after he chased them out of his garden in his boxer shorts.

The 20-year-old heard glass smash outside his Gloucester Road house at about 3.30am on Sunday, and after chasing two male teenagers down an alley into Linden Park, they were joined by a five or six friends, one of whom attempted to punch the man five times in the face, but he managed to block the blows.

He said the group was then joined by another five or six youths. One approached him and hit him eight or 10 times in the face, before headbutting him.

This youth, who was described as white, about 5ft 4in with blonde spiky hair and wearing dark jeans and a dark track-suit top, reportedly said to the victim: "How does it feel getting done over by a 15-year-old?"

The victim went to Worthing Hospital, where he was treated for a swollen left eye, swollen lips and various cuts and bruises, including a cut to the inside of his mouth.
