Investigation continues after body is found in sea at East Wittering Beach
In a statement today (Wednesday, February 19), police said enquiries are ongoing after the discovery of the body on Sunday.
A spokesman said: "About midday on Sunday, police received a report of a body in the sea at East Wittering.

Hide Ad"Officers, working in conjunction with the coastguard, attended the scene and the body was recovered.
"The coroner’s officer has been informed and enquiries to establish the circumstances are ongoing."
On Sunday, police said the person's gender remained unidentified and the incident was being treated as 'unexplained'.
In a tweet, Selsey Coastguard said it had been called to support police officers at 12.16pm, but no further information was available.
