Tomorrow Saturday 16 June 11am - 2pm it’s the monthly Church Market with the usual opportunities to buy plants, cakes, bric-a -brac and produce plus tea/coffee, light lunches and a great chance to sit down and have a chat. Everybody is welcome.

The 75th Anniversary Reunion of Icklesham Casuals Football Club is being held on the evening on Saturday 16 at The Lodge at Winchelsea. Contact David Mayne 01424 424986 if you’re making a last minute decision about coming.

Only a handful of holes remain to be sponsored at the 75 Hole Golf Challenge on 25 June,The amount raised to date is over £1500 with matched sponsorship to be added. This is all part of the Club’s aim to raise £7500 for charity in this special year.

Icklesham Players production of ‘’The Woman in White’’ opened last night and was very well received. The play is dedicated to the late Joan Baker and a percentage of the profits will be donated to St Michael’s Hospice in her name. There are still some tickets for tonight, Friday, and for tomorrow Saturday. To see this great play and at the same time pay tribute to Joan call Nicky on 01424 812996 and reserve a seat. The performance starts at 7.30. At the interval there is a licensed bar, coffee and biscuits and a raffle. Adults £6 children £4.

Manor Farm Oast will be holding a Garden Party to raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer on Sunday, 1 July from noon to 3pm.There will be plants, cakes, handicrafts and books for sale as well as a Ploughman’s Lunch and a glass of wine for £5.

Kate and Syd Mylrea are hoping to raise £2012 for the Charity by opening their restaurant on three nights The first last Saturday was a sell out. The others are 7 and 21 July. A splendid five-course dinner will cost £25 per person and all the food money will go to the Charity. To book a table and get a copy of the menu phone them on 01424 813787.

Watch out for Kate in her luminous jacket as she power walks through the village, putting 2012 kilometres on her pedometer, which is part of the Golld Challenge on behalf of Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

Before the Jubilee holiday on Thursday 31 May the Friends of the School organised an auction which raised an excellent £1100. Well done to everybody who made this event such a success, The next event is the School Summer Fayre on Friday 13 July.
