Horse and manpower: Strength combined

Glorious weather drew a record crowd to West Grinstead Ploughing and Agricultural Society's annual ploughing match and show at Priors Bine Farm, Partridge Green on Saturday.

Held on an outstanding new site, by kind permission of John Ford, the event saw more than 3,000 people of all aged enjoy the day.

Ploughing attracted 58 entries, including three women and three first-time entrants, and there was a horse drawn plough section, as well as competitive cattle show, young person's calf and lamb handling and sheep classes.
