Health group to focus on skin care

Skin care under the scorching sun of Bognor Regis will be the subject of the next health information meeting in the town.

The session is being held by the Maywood Patient Group on May 15.

It will be led by Maywood partner Dr Graham Goodband and consultant dermatologist Dr Adam Haworth, from St Richard's Hospital at Chichester.

The evening will start at 7.30pm and be held in the waiting room of Maywood Healthcare Centre in Hawthorn Road.

Space is limited to 60 people.

Free tickets should be collected from the centre's reception area.

Damage to the skin is a major health concern with another hot summer in prospect along with skin infections, eczema and problems with ageing skin.

Despite all the adverts for cosmetic creams and lotions, people still ignore the importance of the human body's largest organ.

Patient group chairman Peter Coles stated: 'Because we live in one of the sunniest towns in Britain, enjoy the sea and the open air, we have to look after our skin and know what to do and what not to do.

'This evening will provide expert advice and allow plenty of questions.'
