Happy 102nd birthday Bea

SHE was 102 on Sunday and showing no sign of slowing down.

Bea Hurlock is well-known in Bexhill for her love of life and readiness to enjoy herself.

Bea still plays piano at the Sackville once a week and also occasionally at the Cooden Beach Hotel and at other venues.

On her 100th birthday the Pensions Department also celebrated its centenary and elected her the top 100-year-old in the South East area, making her cover girl of their in-house magazine as a result.

A lunch for family and friends will be held for her at the Cooden Beach Hotel, and in the late afternoon 25 guests will arrive for a surprise party with cake and champagne.
