Green fingers inspected by South East In Bloom judge

GREEN-fingered pupils from Plumpton College at Ivy Farm in Netherfield showed off their gardening skills to a Southern Water South & South East in Bloom judge recently.

Horticultural expert Maggie Whitaker looked at their cultivation of flowers, fruit and vegetables, together with any conservation efforts on the site and what actions pupils have taken to promote a sustainable approach to the environment.

A record 129 schools from across the region have entered the Blooming Schools element of the competition.

The results will be announced in July.
