Good result for sports club's first coffee morning
SIDLEY Sports and Social club held their first ever coffee morning on 21st November.
Organised to raise funds for Sidley United football club the event had plenty on offer to entice local folk outdoors on a a wet and windy Saturday morning.
A variety of stalls had many items for sale including bric a brac, toys, home-made cakes and scones, there was a raffle and games included naming the teddy and 'pick a straw tombola' organised by St John's Ambulance. Refreshments were served.
The event raised 254 which assistant treasurer Hazel Sharp said was, "a very good result for our first coffee morning."
