Go Fishing

It's Britain's favourite pastime and now local youngsters have the chance to find out for themselves what's so great about fishing.

After a successful summer sport programme in Rother, Mastersport is organising fishing over two days during the October Half Term.

These days will be on Tuesday 27 and Thursday 29 October at Wylands Fishery in Battle from 10am until 3pm.

Children aged 10-12 are able to attend, the cost each session is 5.

These sessions are funded by the Environment Agency and all staff are CRB checked and qualified.

Director Roy Masters commented: '' Fishing courses during the summer were very popular with young people who had never fished before, learning the basics and having a great time.

"Everyone caught fish and enjoyed the environment and just being outdoors and having fun.''
