Funtime as North Bersted pupils gear up to learn

Outdoor exercises put young children in the mood for learning at a North Bersted school.

The wake and shake sessions with a difference brought all 122 pupils together in the school grounds before their lessons.

The brain boosting time for the five to seven year olds took place each morning during national sports week.

Zo Gordon, the school's PE co-ordinator, said: "We normally do this session in the morning in individual classes so it has been quite a novelty to organise it and proved really great fun for everyone."

A fun sports afternoon was also held at the Romney Broadwalk school to give the children the chance to take part in different activities in mixed age and ability groups.
