Footpath cyclists in Aldwick are warned

Police community support officer Nick Baker reports 37 warnings for cycling on the footpaths around Aldwick have been issued in one month.

PCSO Baker and his colleague, PCSO Tracey Ford, have given the tellings-off at the rate of more than one a day on average in the month since the crime was agreed as the top priority at a community policing meeting in late July.

He says strong advice has also been given to cyclists who break the law by pedalling along the pavements.

"This has received a positive response from members of the public.

"We will continue to keep up the pressure and issue further warnings," he said.
