Felpham Toddler group celebrates jubilee

Flowers and balloons in pink and blue decorated Felpham Methodist Church as the Felpham Toddler Group celebrated its silver jubilee.

Grown-up 'toddlers' and former staff came from as far afield as Dorset and Wiltshire to join the current team and the children.

Group founder Kathleen Gatford said: "The Rev Andy Lowe talked about growth from small beginnings and we were all given seeds to plant so that we could watch them grow. Love and care are needed for growth and we have had that in abundance. Our children are very precious and important.

"The service finished with the Gaelic Blessing sung by Lucy, a founder member of the group.

"The get-together after the service was a happy occasion, with friends catching up with news while enjoying refreshments and birthday cake."
