Euro MP election results

THE 10 winners of the European elections have been announced.

The final count for the south-east region was put together at Southampton City Council and the results were unveiled on Monday.

MEPs are:

'¢ Daniel John Hannan, Conservative Party, 812,288 votes

'¢ Nigel Paul Farage, UKIP, 440,002 votes

'¢ Richard James Ashworth, Conservative Party, 406,144 votes

'¢ Sharon Margaret Bowles, Liberal Democrats, 330,340 votes

'¢ Caroline Patricia Lucas, Green Party, 271,506 votes

'¢ Nirj Deva, Conservative Party, 270762 votes

'¢ Marta Andreasen, UKIP, 220,001 votes

'¢ James Edmund Moncrieff Elles, Conservative Party, 203,072 votes

'¢ Peter William Skinner, Labour Party, 192,592 votes.

'¢ Catherine Zena Bearder, Liberal Democrats, 165,170 votes.

The turnout for the European elections was 28.85 per cent.
