Disney meets the Proms in Littlehampton concert

THE world of Disney plays a big part in The Edwin James Festival Choir and Orchestra’s annual Prom-style concert, on Saturday, July 27.

The theme for the night will be ‘Animated Movies’, but there will also be plenty of opportunities to join in the traditional Prom pieces, including Land of Hope and Glory, Sea Songs and Jerusalem.

The audience will also be welcome to sing along with the choir to the many memorable tunes from When you Wish Upon a Star, Bright Eyes, and Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, together with 20 other songs from Disney’s animated classics.

The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, by Paul Dukas, from Fantasia will be played by the orchestra, together with all the musical items which have been arranged and orchestrated by James Rushman, the choir and orchestra’s musical director.
