Demand for Next Wave feedback forms exceeds supply

DEMAND from the public for feedback forms at the Next Wave exhibition quickly out-ran supply today.

Hard-pressed staff dealing with a packed Studio at the De La Warr Pavilion had run out of forms by 1pm.

Rother District Council's public consultation exhibiton into its 5.1m seafront plan had opened at 6pm yesterday.

Around 60 people attended the evening session. The exhibition was crowded from the moment it re-opened at ten this mornging.

By 1pm the first 500 print-run had gone. Staff had to call for the first 500 of a second 1,000-copy print run.

By the 4pm closing time for the first full day of the exhibiton, staff and councillors were still busily engaged in answering questions in the packed studio.

The exhibition will re-open tomorrow at 10am. On Monday, it will be transferred to Rother Community Help Point in Amherst Road where it will remain until the end of the month.
