Eastbourne man robbed in his car

A robber got into a man’s car, claimed he had a knife and demanded his possessions.

The incident took place on the junction of Wartling Road and Winchelsea Road at around 11.15pm on Monday (February 1).

Police have said that the victim was resting in his car after going for a run in Princes Park when a man got into the vehicle and robbed him.

The attacker claimed he had a knife, although the weapon was not seen, before leaving with car keys, a jacket and an iPhone 11.

The man was described by police as white, between 19 and 22 years old and around 6ft tall.

Police have said that he was wearing a grey beanie and a thin black waterproof jacket, and was accompanied by two women.

Detectives would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the robbery or saw the individuals described.
