Comedian Hugh Dennis to open The Littlehampton Academy

The star of Mock the Week, Outnumbered and Radio 4’s The Now Show will unveil a commemorative plaque on Friday (June 7), following a dedication service in the chapel.

Guests attending the event will include the Bishop of Horsham, the Rt Rev Mark Sowerby, and the Lord Lieutenant of West Sussex, Susan Pyper.

The academy’s acclaimed TLA Steel Band will provide a musical welcome and the event will also be attended by staff, pupils and representatives of the Woodard Academies Trust, the academy’s sponsor.

Students first moved into the building in September.
