College signs up Eddie Izzard

Bexhill's most famous son will cut the ribbon at an invitation-only ceremony at the impressive Penland Road site on Saturday September 18.

The megastar actor and comedian was brought up in Bexhill and has always taken time to support community projects when his tight schedule allows.

The new college site is nearing completion in time for the big move in July. The current premises in Turkey Road no longer meets requirements and will be demolished to make way for houses.

When in its new home Bexhill College will be one of the best-equipped further education centres in the country.
