Cinematickets slashed

Ticket prices are being halved this week at the Picturedrome cinema in Bognor Regis.

The new admission prices from Friday will make viewing big screen blockbusters a bargain at the town centre venue. New cinema operator Harold Winton has decided to slash the cost of going into the two screens in his first major decision since he took over last month. It means that every film can be seen for just 2.50 on weekdays and 3.50 at weekends. The prices apply to everyone.

They compare to the 5 full admission price, with 4 concessions, which is about to end. Prices at the cinema's kiosk are also being cut to reduce the cost of a night out even further.

The first big film which cinema goers will be able to appreciate for less will be Pirates of the Carribean: At World's End, which will sail into town again from next Friday. Picturedrome general manager Adam Cunard said: 'We want to encourage more people to come to the cinema. Reducing prices seemed the best way to do this.'
