Church fair raises £610 for its funds

Father Chris Spain, parish priest, said: "It was organised by Eileen Craig and a team of her fellow flower arrangers and some wonderful volunteers from the parish community."

He added: " At this time with the high costs of running and maintaining the three Catholic churches of the Bexhill area, we depend on the help and support that such fund-raising activities offer.

"The fair was supported by parishioners from all our three churches and a large number from the local area, too."

Stalls at the fair included coffee and refreshments, cakes and produce, a raffle, books, bric-a-brac and toys.

The organising team is now preparing for a summer cream tea and coffee morning on July 10, and a Christmas fair in December.
