CAMPAIGN GROUP LAUNCHED
A CAMPAIGNING group was formed in Uckfield today by a group of people who feel party politics do not belong at town council level.
Uckfield First has been formed by a number of town councillors and other community figures who are 'united in their desire to see party political issues put aside in favour of using positive co-operative action which will benefit the town as a whole.'
In a leaflet distributed by members at a breakfast meeting this morning it says 'all supporters are welcome.
'Uckfield First contains no prejudices.
'Its supporters do not discriminate on the grounds of race, religion, disability, age or sexual orientation.'
