BUS DRIVER DIES

Roy Trundell, 62, was fatally injured in the incident in Birch Road at 8am.

Two ambulances attended.

Mr Trundell was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to the EDGH where he later died.

First at the scene was a member of a lifeboat crew who gave first aid but said there appeared to be no obvious injuries.

However Mr Trundell turned pale and passed out.

A witness said it appeared that he was on the ground and had apparently been crushed between two buses.

The incident has been referred to the Health and Safety Executive for reports.
