Bognor man is part of award-winning election campaign

A man from Bognor Regis was part of a team who ran an award-winning election campaign.

Duncan Chrystal, 21, helped organise the West Sussex County Council youth cabinet elections.

They attracted 210 candidates and more than 24,500 voters '“ one in five 11 to 19-year-olds in the county, a figure second only to Kent in the UK.

The campaign was highly commended in the strategic communications category of the International Visual Communication Association's Clarion Awards.

The IVCA is an independent, not- for-profit professional body promoting best practice in corporate and public sector communications.

The presentation ceremony was held at the British Film Institute at South Bank in London.

The plaque was collected by Duncan, his fellow members of the youth cabinet team Ben Balla Muir, 15, and David Clarke, 21, both of Crawley, and West Sussex elections manager Dahlia Belloul, 19, of Worthing.
