BODY ON BEACH IDENTIFIED

The body of a man found on the beach at Cuckmere Haven on Tuesday (July 4) has been identified.

He was Mr Alan Garman Hund, aged 35, of Bolney Road, Brighton.

The police are not treating the death as suspicious and the Coroner's Officer is continuing his enquiries.

An inquest has been opened and adjourned.

A family statement said: "Strong but sensitive, Alan was an honest, cheerful and natural man. His long battle with mental illness ends here in the tragic loss of a young and gifted life yet to fully bloom. Quickly liked by those who met him, dearly loved by those who knew him, Alan will be deeply missed by all."
