Bid to bring Christmas to Worthing

WORTHING could be celebrating Christmas in style with snow, reindeers, Father Christmas, elves, live music and festive food.

The town is in first place for the south region in a Christmas competition run by mobile phone company Nokia, which will see winning towns turned into winter wonderlands for residents to enjoy.

One winning town will also receive a special visit from celebrity chef Marco Pierre-White, who will cook up a festive feast.

Worthing Council has encouraged all members of staff to vote on www.nokia.co.uk/christmas and the Herald have joined in with the fun, too.
