Arun chairman helps hand out poppies to shoppers in Bognor Regis

A senior councillor has taken part in this year's Poppy Appeal collection in Bognor Regis town centre.

Cllr Ashvin Patel spent Monday morningwith members of the Royal British Legion seeking donations from shoppers.

His presence in the High Street formed part of his commitment to the organisation which he has adopted as his good cause for his year in office.

Poppy sellers have been out in force in the Bognor area in the past week in the build-up to the annual Remembrance Sunday service this weekend.

Parking charges in all Arun District Council-managed car parks will be suspended between 10am and midday on Sunday to allow those who wish to attend Remembrance Sunday services to park for free.
